Proximity Footswitch

The Multibug footswitch uses dual sensing non-mechanical technology to sense the presence of a foot or hand on the surface of the switch. The unit is fully enclosed and made from a durable plastic, resulting in a waterproof and robust construction.

Features
Dual detection - the switch senses capacitance as well as the absence of light, both required for a trigger.
Microprocessor controlled - Built-in intelligence enables many of the smart features described below. In addition, customer specific firmware options allow the features and behaviour to be tailored to particular requirements.
Single wire communications bus - allows two switches to be connected for tandem operation, a small safety delay then required between the triggering of the switches.
Anti-false trigger technology - complex algorithm for guarding against false triggering.
Diagnostic port - The single wire communications bus doubles as a diagnostics output for analysing the operation of the switch.
Digital Environmental Tolerance technology - Light and capacitance sensors use a variable detection threshold to allow operation in varying light and moisture levels. A continuous digital self-calibration process, implemented in firmware, enables the switch to cope with rapidly changing weather conditions.
Tilt switch - A built in tilt switch shuts down the switch when not in the horizontal plane. Switch may be oriented for continuous operation in the vertical plane.
Robust construction.

Any outside or inside application - Completely enclosed and waterproof.
Switching of items in hazardous environments.

Operating current 'switch open': 4 mA, 'switch closed': 10 mA
Output switched contacts: 50 volts Max. 0.5 Amp Max.
